Common Frequency is currently looking for people to help work towards the cause of helping schools and non-profits develop community radio stations that are open to students and members of the public.  We are looking for:

  - People that have experience in community broadcasting/non-commercial radio, have    
    worked in organizations researching funding, or have any talent in broadcast law or
    radio engineering.

  - People with individual talents in media/broadcasting to serve on an advisory board.

  - People in communities across the United States who would like to work locally to create a
    community broadcast outlet in their hometown.

Todd has been a advocate of “Do it Yourself” ever since bumping into punk rock as a kid, participating at Sac’s KCBL community radio, dabbling in micropower broadcasting, engineering studio recordings, and producing television for community access.  While studying engineering at UC Davis he became interested in freeform  radio, serving as Manager and Engineer of KDVS, putting on music events and releasing music.

Sakura Saunders is a media activist that has been involved with community radio for the past 7 years. She served as Program Director and Office Coordinator of KDVS. In addition to helping start LPFM station KDRT, Sakura sits on the board of directors of Prometheus Radio Project. Sakura's radio work has appeared on Democracy Now! and Sprouts Radio; her writing has been published on CorpWatch.org and in the San Francisco Bay Area publication, Fault Lines, for which she is also a volunteer editor.

Kristin is a PhD in French Literature and an arts activist. She’s recently organized a mural project by Oaxacan artists around the theme of community media for Davis Media Access and local radio station KDRT. She’s been a researcher, volunteer, grant writer and Common Frequency Board Member since 2007.
Jeff Shaw, CF Board
Jeff Shaw works at Davis Community Television, a public access television station, and currrently manages KDRT-LP, a low power fm station based in Davis, CA.  Jeff has been involved with KDRT-LP since it's inception, finding a home for KDRT-LP at Davis Community Television, and writing the original FCC application.  Jeff grew up listening to KDVS, while deejaying as a teenager at KVMR in Nevada City. He believes community radio increases the quality of life.

Paul is dedicated to promoting community involvement in all forms of media. He worked at KDVS-FM Davis for 3 years, including serving as General Manager. He currently works as a community organizer with Toxics Action Center in Massachusetts and Pesticide Watch in California, assisting communities as they fight inactive bureaucracies and corporate polluters.
