Radio For People Project

Common Frequency is working with the National Federation of Community Broadcasters (NFCB), Prometheus Radio Project, and Pacifica in a coalition called Radio For People:  www.radioforpeople.org (in progress).  The goal is to inform the public about non-commercial broadcasting opportunities. Common Frequency is looking for established organizations and/or individuals interested in licensing non-commercial educational FM stations for community, educational use.  We would like to see more broadcast outlets with the following characteristics:   - Open to community members for volunteering.   - Open to broadcasting a diversity of viewpoints--not focused on one agenda, religion, or      mindset--presented in pragmatic fashion.   - Dedicated to broadcasting non-commercial, historical, and progressive music genres.
